The manual describes. the control keys, indicator lights, special features, setup procedures, restart procedures, and principles of operation of all input/output devices available for attachment to the 1130 system. The procedures include step- by-step instructions and illustrations. No specific programming system is assumed in this manual. Program messages and related opera- tor actions, therefore, are not included. Such infor- mation is in programming system publications for the IBM program that you may be using. Related literature is listed in Appendix C. For a complete list of 1130 publications, refer to the IBM 1130 Bibliography, GA26-5916. Note. The 1131 Models 4A, 4B and the 1132 Model 2 are available only in the United States and Canada. Second Edition (August 1971) This is a major revision of, and obsoletes, GA26-S717-0. Technical Newsletters N26-0228 and N34-0001 have also been incorporated. Material related to the IBM 1131 Models 4A and 4B and the IBM 1132 Model 2 has been added. Changes to the text and illustrations are indicated by a vertical line to the left of the change. Changes are periodically made to the information herein.
